Jala and Pixie joined our family a couple of months after moving into our new house. At the time, they were feral kittens that had been rescued and socialized.
The memories of what they went through prior to joining our family are strong — as an example, if either of them see Glenn wearing a hat in the house, they immediately find a hiding place. They want nothing to do with a "hat-wearing" person, and that may be due to where they were found — less than a mile from our house behind a home improvement store.
After a couple of years of being a two-cat family, we've added a new feline member to our family - a black-and-white "Tuxedo" cat, appropriately named Tux.
